YWHAZ is an adapter protein implicated in several signal transduction pathways [997]. Although YWHAZ has not been directly related to ageing, because it interacts with so many proteins, including many associated with ageing such as the INS/IGF1 pathway [996], it is possible that YWHAZ itself plays some role in human ageing.
