- GMFB
- Name
- glia maturation factor beta
- Organism
- Mus musculus (AnAge)
- Observations
- Mice overexpressing human GMFB (GMFB-Tg) had a 6% decrease in mean lifespan compared to wild type mice. In addition GMFB-Tg demonstrated signs of premature ageing including hair greying and loss, skin atrophy and spinal curvature. Some of the GMFB-Tg mice died within 60 weeks.
